Hyundai Venue AT on Rent in Chandigarh
If you want to sit higher than in a sedan without driving anything big, the Hyundai Venue AT is the answer. It is the most compact automatic SUV in our fleet, with five seats, a petrol engine and a short length that fits parking bays in Sector 17 that larger SUVs circle past. Choose a Venue on rent in Chandigarh when city errands and weekend hill runs are the plan and you would rather not touch a clutch.
Plan on two to four people with medium-sized bags. A family of five heading off for a week will run out of rear-seat and boot space, and the Hyundai Creta AT is the roomier automatic for them. Manual drivers watching their budget can take the Maruti Brezza instead, which sits just as high and goes a little further on a litre of petrol.

Where the Venue AT Fits Best
Sector markets, malls and Tricity errands
Home ground for the Venue. Its short length and automatic gearbox suit Sector 22, Elante and the Mohali phase markets, and the raised seat helps you spot cyclists and autos at roundabouts. Covering relatives in Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur in one day is no strain.
Solan and Barog (about 70 km)
A relaxed day out on the Shimla highway: Barog's pine forest and old railway station sit off the road before Solan. A single day is plenty for Solan and back, and the ground clearance helps on steep side lanes up to hotels and cafes.
Shimla (about 115 km)
A 2-day booking handles Shimla and back with the short run up to Kufri thrown in. The automatic is a relief in the Saturday crawl past Parwanoo, and its compact size helps on narrow hotel driveways and in Shimla's cramped parking.
How the Hyundai Venue AT Drives
Around town it is the easiest SUV we rent. It is about as long as a hatchback, so reversing into a gap outside a sector market takes one attempt, and the automatic keeps stop-start traffic calm. The higher seat gives you a better view over the car ahead than a sedan does, which helps when you are looking for a turning on unfamiliar Mohali roads.
On the highway it cruises comfortably, and on climbs the gearbox picks the gear for you, though it needs a firmer press of the throttle with four adults aboard. Expect around 18 km/l on open roads and less in traffic or climbing to Shimla. The rear seat is fine for two adults and tight for three over long distances, and two medium suitcases fill the boot. Tip: in the hills, ask your hotel about parking before you book the room; many have very little space, and a small car is far easier to fit.

Hyundai Venue AT Rental FAQs
The Hyundai Venue AT is ₹3,000 per day on self drive, with 200 km included each day. Weekly rent is ₹18,000. Monthly rent is ₹72,000. Extra kilometres are ₹10–15 per km, fuel is not included, and a refundable security deposit of ₹9,000 is taken before handover.
Very. Of all our SUVs, it is the simplest to slot into a space. It is under four metres long, so it fits standard bays in sector markets and malls, and the higher seat makes the corners easier to judge. If most of your driving is in the city, it is a better pick than the larger Hyundai Creta AT.
The gearbox decides it. They are similar in size and seating height, but the Venue shifts for itself while the Brezza has a clutch. If you'll spend hours in Tricity traffic or weekend hill queues, or you simply don't enjoy changing gear, take the Venue AT. Confident manual drivers who want the lower running cost will be happy in the Brezza.
You can, though it isn't our first pick when a whole family is heading to Manali. Two people with light bags will be fine; four adults with a week's luggage will be cramped over 300 km each way. For that trip the Hyundai Creta AT gives everyone more room, and its diesel pulls better on the long climbs.
Few cars in our fleet are more forgiving. With no clutch, light steering, good visibility and a compact body, small misjudgements rarely turn into problems. Keep your first day to the Tricity before heading for the hills, and avoid the Shimla highway on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, when traffic is heaviest.
Yes, comfortably. With two people, the whole back seat is free for coats, shopping and day bags on top of what's in the boot. Space only runs short when a third and fourth adult join with big suitcases, which is the point where a bigger car starts to make sense.
A valid driving licence held for at least one year, plus government photo identification such as Aadhaar or a passport. Both must be produced in original at handover. International visitors need a passport and an international driving permit.
